Tate Township Council Special Council Meeting
The meeting focused on a hearing continuation regarding a complaint over development charges imposed for a marina resort development. The discussion centered on whether the placement of seasonal park model trailers on concrete pads constitutes residential development subject to development charges. The complainant argued that the building permits issued were for site preparation rather than dwelling construction and that such seasonal recreational units are distinct from permanent residential dwellings, asserting that the municipality failed to provide necessary evidence or studies to support the imposition of these charges according to the Development Charges Act.
