Town Of Cottage Grove Plan Commission Plan Commission Meeting
The Plan Commission discussed a proposed amendment to the comprehensive plan regarding the designation of 33 acres north of Hope Road for neighborhood development. The planner provided details on the resolution, which includes requirements for the developer such as providing a legal description, achieving a 60% lot sale threshold south of Hope Road before map changes occur, and recording a deed restriction against the property. This deed restriction would mandate compliance with town standards regarding design, housing visibility, trail access, and transfer of development rights. Public commentary included concerns about increased traffic, loss of agricultural land, wildlife preservation, and the density of the proposed development versus the benefits of senior housing.
