The board discussed a variance application for a property at 1 Fuller Road (also referenced as 28-30 Havel Street) regarding a proposed side yard deck and staircase, and concerns about an apartment configuration in the basement. The applicant explained modifications made to the plans to ensure compliance and functionality as a single dwelling unit, including the removal of a wet bar and potential bedroom closets, and the creation of a functional living space. The board questioned the use of specific rooms, egress requirements, and storage areas to ensure the property does not function as an unauthorized separate apartment, referencing previous violations.
